Minita is senior vice president and chief people officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, the largest private health plan in the state and one of the largest independent, not-for-profit Blue Cross Blue Shield plans in the country. Blue Cross’ mission is to show up for everyone like they’re the only one. The company guides members to the exceptional healthcare they deserve, affordably, equitably, and seamlessly, and is consistently rated among the nation’s best health plans for member satisfaction and quality.

Minita is responsible for building and maintaining a high performing workforce and culture that sustains our mission and achieves our business priorities while supporting the ongoing evolution of the way we work. She oversees talent acquisition and business partnerships; associate training, development, and benefits; people operations; and business inclusion and belonging.
Before joining Blue Cross, Minita served as vice president, head of human resources for research & development and global medical at Biogen. Prior to Biogen, she was the director of diversity and inclusion at Bingham McCutchen LLP (later acquired by Morgan Lewis LLP). She began her human resources career at Coblentz, Patch, Duffy, and Bass LLP as a generalist and later served as manager of attorney recruitment and professional development. She also worked as a clinical social worker at the Fred Finch Youth Center in Oakland, California.
Minita serves on the board of The Partnership, Inc., an organization that supports the recruitment, development and retention of multicultural professionals in the greater Boston economy.
Minita earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in social work from Boston University. She has an MBA from Babson College, Franklin W. Olin School of Business.
