Dennis Charland
Senior Vice President, Commercial and Pharmacy Sales

With a deep understanding of the health care landscape and a track record of innovative strategies, Dennis has led sales and benefits teams for two decades. In 2005, he began his career at Blue Cross and rose to the position of vice president of National Accounts and Consultant Relations, leading new sales production and overseeing a 1-million-member book of business. Earlier this year, Dennis returned as a member of our executive leadership team.
Before coming back to Blue Cross, Dennis was senior vice president of Transparency and Network Solution Sales at the health care information technology company Zelis and the company’s chief revenue officer, leading go-to-market and product strategy and guiding funding and acquisition. He has also managed benefits for a Fortune 500 employer and been a consultant with a Big 3 healthcare consulting firm.
Dennis received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, health care Management from the University of Connecticut. He also serves on the board and executive committee for the New England Employee Benefits Council (NEEBC).
