Building Bridges to Emotional Fitness
Tuesday, October 27, 2020 / 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM EST
Prior to COVID-19, the World Economic Forum projected that the burden of mental illness would cost the global economy $6 trillion by 2030. The global pandemic has exacerbated emotional health and wellbeing, resulting in increased anxiety, depression, loneliness, substance use and suicides. HR, Benefits and Wellness professionals need actionable solutions for supporting employees’ emotional health and wellbeing. This can be achieved through Emotional Fitness, which builds emotional strength, endurance and flexibility through meeting essential needs, securing a sense of belonging, cultivating a sense of purpose, and finding opportunities to flourish.
We featured speaker Robin Bouvier, Vice President in the Health Solutions practice at Aon.
During this session, we learned:
- Common mental health impacts from the pandemic
- How to assess your own mental health and identify risk factors in others
- Training techniques to improve emotional fitness
- Guidance to achieve and sustain total wellbeing in uncertain times
