Currently, Deb is the Director of Employee Safety & Sustainability Engagement at Johnson & Johnson (J&J). In this role, she is part of the Enterprise EHS&S (Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability) team. Deb leads internal stakeholder engagement, stewarding safety and environmental sustainability behaviors at J&J. She is responsible for developing and executing an EHS&S employee engagement strategy across the enterprise. Prior to her role within EHS&S, Deb spent 15 years providing leadership, development and delivery for J&J Global Health Services (GHS), impacting the health of the J&J global employee population through education and awareness programs, and healthy culture-building initiatives. She led a cross-functional team to research, develop and ultimately deploy the first J&J US healthy eating initiative called eatcomplete. Deb was a key part of the GHS team that worked with the Human Performance Institute® to create a scalable approach for deploying the Energy for Performance® course to J&J employees worldwide. She also led the phased global rollout of the Healthy & Me™ App and contributed to the development of the Healthy Eating and Healthy Movement Policies within HealthForce 2020.

Deb received a Master of Science degree in Health Promotion from Springfield College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications from The Pennsylvania State University. Additionally, she is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist. Deb has presented at HERO, NBGH, WWCMA, Boston College Center for Work & Family, CEO’s Against Cancer and participated in the CDC expert panel for Worksite Obesity Prevention and Control. She is a Board member of the Center for Active Design in NYC.

Fun Facts: In addition to spending time with her happy family, dog, cat and an apiary of bees, Deb enjoys writing, gardening, biking, running, hiking and cross-country skiing.
