Boston, MA – February 18, 2015 – The Worksite Wellness Council of Massachusetts (WWCMA) has announced two new board members - Melanie Dion and Kelly O’Connor.
Melanie Dion is WWCMA’s new Membership Committee Chair. She is a Worksite Wellness Consultant for Borislow Insurance, a company recently recognized by the Wellness Council of America as one of America’s “Healthiest Small Companies”. Melanie also holds a Certified Wellness Program Coordinator designation through the Chapman Institute. As the new Membership Chair Committee, she will work with the Membership Committee to actively promote membership in the organization.
Kelly O’Connor is WWCMA’s new Programs Committee Chair. Kelly currently works as the Wellness Manager of the Cambridge Health Alliance, and previously served as the program coordinator for the Advancement of Healthcare Management. She worked as a clinical research coordinator at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and is a Certified Wellness Program Manager through the Chapman Institute. Kelly will lead the programs committee in establishing standards for meeting presentations that support the WWCMA mission, identifying qualified speakers, and handling meeting logistics.
Kathy Hewes, former Programs Committee Chair, will serve on the WWCMA Board as the Membership at Large. She is a registered and licensed dietitian and nutritionist and has worked in the health promotion field for over 25 years. Kathy will also participate on the membership committee and assist with acquisition and promotion.
