A MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD CHAIR

Dear WWCMA Members and Friends,
I hope this message finds you well as we approach the end of another impactful year. It is with a mix of emotions that I share some important news regarding my role at WWCMA.
After the New Year my term as the Board Chair of the Worksite Wellness Council of Massachusetts (WWCMA) will come to an end. As one of the council’s co-founders, the WWCMA community has truly become like a second family to me, and the work we have accomplished together has been nothing short of inspiring. Since its founding, the WWCMA has impacted thousands of individuals who have attended our events to connect and learn, and recognized hundreds of organizations for their outstanding well-being strategies through the WorkWell Massachusetts Awards program.
While bidding farewell to the Board Chair role comes with some sadness, I am thrilled to announce that my successor will be current Board Director and Member-at-Large, Valeria Tivnan. Val brings a deep passion for wellness and a wealth of experience in advising organizations on best practice wellness strategy. Her vision and dedication will undoubtedly guide our organization toward even greater achievements, and I am so excited to witness the evolution of the WWCMA under her leadership.
As I reflect on our journey over the past 12 years, I am reminded of the incredible strides we have taken collectively. The WWCMA has grown and evolved, thanks to the unwavering commitment of its members, volunteers, and sponsors. Your support, collaboration, and shared commitment to wellness have left an indelible mark on me, and I will carry the memories of our collective accomplishments with me always.
As I step back, I do so with a heart full of gratitude and a profound sense of optimism for the future of WWCMA. Thank you for the incredible journey we have shared, and I look forward to witnessing the continued success of WWCMA under Val’s capable leadership.
Wishing you all the very best in health and happiness,

Kristie Howard, CEBS, CWWPC
